Questions about the brand check
- Where does the data come from?
- From Reddit's official API, using its search for posts from the past month that contain the brand name. We only read public posts and leave out removed and adult ones.
- Why might the count be lower than I expect?
- Reddit's search covers post titles and text, not comments, and it returns at most 100 recent posts. Brand names that are also common words can match unrelated posts, so read the threads before drawing conclusions.
- Does it tell me whether mentions are positive?
- No. It counts mentions and shows where they are. Read the threads themselves to judge tone and context.
- Is there a limit?
- Yes, 10 checks per network per hour, to keep it fair for everyone. No account is needed.
