Acceptable use policy

Last updated

ReddScale helps you take part in online conversations honestly. This policy describes what that means in practice. It applies to everything you do with the service, including replies you post that started as ReddScale drafts.

Be honest about who you are

  • Disclose your affiliation whenever you mention your own product, company or clients. A short "I work at Acme" is enough.
  • Don't pose as an unaffiliated customer, reviewer or bystander.
  • Don't post on behalf of a client without making the relationship clear where the community expects it.

Don't spam

  • Don't post the same or near-identical reply across threads or communities.
  • Only reply where your answer helps the person asking. If a mention of your product wouldn't help, leave it out.
  • Follow each community's rules on self-promotion, links, flair and posting frequency. When they say no promotion, don't promote.

Don't manipulate communities

  • Don't vote, or ask others to vote, on your own content or a competitor's in a coordinated way.
  • Don't use multiple accounts to support your own posts, avoid bans or make a viewpoint look more popular than it is.
  • Don't buy, rent, sell or share Reddit accounts, or use accounts you don't personally control.
  • Don't use automation to post, vote, comment or send messages. ReddScale is designed so that a person reviews and posts every reply.
  • Don't try to evade moderation, bans, rate limits or bot detection.

Other things you may not do

  • Send unsolicited direct messages using anything you found through ReddScale.
  • Post content that is misleading, defamatory, harassing, hateful or illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Make claims about health, finance or law that you can't back up.
  • Use the service to collect personal data about Reddit users or build profiles of them.
  • Access the service in ways we don't offer, such as scraping, overloading it or bypassing plan limits, or probe its security without permission.
  • Resell the service except through an agency plan.

Platform rules come first

You must also follow the Reddit User Agreement, the Reddit Rules, and the rules of any community and platform you post to. Where they're stricter than this policy, they apply.

Enforcement

We may remove drafts, pause campaigns, or suspend or close accounts that break this policy, with or without notice, depending on how serious the breach is. Report misuse to [email protected].
